Pennsylvania Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody or has been released, retrieve or remove a booking photo, provide an official record, or change an agency file. The agency or court that holds the record must answer those questions.
Choose the Record Holder
The right Pennsylvania contact depends on the record and where it began. County agencies handle local booking and jail information. PA DOC handles its state inmate and parolee locator. The courts keep docket information, while federal agencies run separate searches for federal prison and immigration custody. Use the source that matches the question.
- County arrest or booking: Choose the county in the County Directory. Its official sheriff, prison, or police source is the place to ask about the roster, booking record, or photo. The statewide record overview explains the lookup and request paths.
- State inmate or parolee: Use the PA DOC inmate and parolee service and its live locator. The locator covers state-sentenced inmates and parolees, not county jail detainees. DOC lists ra-contactdoc@pa.gov for locator help.
- Case events or disposition: Search the Pennsylvania Unified Judicial System Case Search. A docket can show court activity and outcomes, but it is not a current custody check or photo archive.
- Federal prison custody: Search the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. Its public locator does not provide a mugshot field.
- Immigration detention: Use the ICE Online Detainee Locator for a person who may be in ICE custody.
For a written request to a Pennsylvania government agency, send the request to that agency’s Right-to-Know officer using its posted process. The Office of Open Records forms can help with a request or an appeal when the Right-to-Know Law applies. This private site cannot file one for you or predict whether a photo will be released.
Do not send sensitive records or personal details here in place of an agency request. For a correction, identify the original record and contact the office or publisher that holds it.
