Pennsylvania Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office, sheriff, jail, corrections department, or private investigation firm. It points to arrest-record and booking-photo sources around Pennsylvania but holds no official files. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provide Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) services. The site is not a consumer reporting agency.
Private Reference Service
This is an independently operated resource with no government affiliation. It does not store official arrest, custody, court, or booking-photo records. It cannot confirm a person’s custody status, arrange a release, or submit a legal filing for a visitor.
The pages point readers toward Pennsylvania county sources, statewide agency searches, court dockets, and selected outside research tools. County systems differ, so a link is a route to a source, not a promise that the source will return a record or image.
Rules for Use
Use the site lawfully and in a way that does not harm another person or disrupt the service. In particular, visitors agree not to:
- Break a law or another person’s rights through use of the pages.
- Use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or target someone.
- Use site information for an FCRA-covered decision or other prohibited screening purpose.
- Try to enter systems or accounts without authorization.
- Use automated bots or scrapers to copy or burden the service.
- Interfere with other visitors’ access or the site’s operation.
No Consumer Reporting
Pennsylvania Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports, and neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a screening service. Visitors agree not to use information from this site or its partners for any purpose covered by the FCRA, including:
- Hiring, firing, or other employment decisions.
- Tenant selection, housing access, or rental screening.
- Creditworthiness or insurance decisions and rates.
- Licensing, permits, or eligibility for government programs.
- Any other use governed by the FCRA.
Links to Other Services
Links may lead to county rosters, sheriff or corrections pages, government portals, court searches, federal locators, legal resources, county reference pages, and outside search services. A link is provided as a route for readers and is not an endorsement. The linked organization controls its own content, data handling, and availability. Review that service’s terms and privacy notice before using it.
Information as Is
The pages and tools are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made about:
- Accuracy, completeness, or how current the information is.
- Continuous access or uninterrupted operation.
- Freedom from errors, defects, or security issues.
- Completeness or quality of results returned by a search partner.
Custody details and public records can change. Nothing on this site is an official statement from a Pennsylvania sheriff, jail, corrections agency, court, or other government body.
Limits on Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Pennsylvania Busted Mugshots and its operators are not liable for losses or damages that result from access to or use of this site, a search tool, or a linked service.
User Indemnity
Visitors agree to protect and hold harmless the site and its operators from claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from their use of the service or violation of these terms.
Ownership and Permissions
Unless a page says otherwise, the site’s text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Pennsylvania Busted Mugshots or its content partners. Do not copy, distribute, or alter those materials without written permission from the owner. A linked agency’s records remain subject to that agency’s rights and rules.
Changes to the Terms
These terms may be revised at any time. A change takes effect when the updated version is posted here, and continued use after posting means the revised terms apply.
Access May End
Access to the site may be limited or blocked at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.
Pennsylvania Law
Pennsylvania law governs these terms, and disputes must be brought in a court located in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law, 65 P.S. §§ 67.101–67.3104, governs access to qualifying government records subject to its exceptions; it does not make this private reference site an agency. The state’s Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law, 73 P.S. §§ 201-1 et seq., is separate. House Bill 1585 proposes to connect paid booking-photo removal conduct to that law, but the bill remains a proposal rather than current law as of September 22, 2026. See the Office of Open Records RTKL overview and the HB 1585 bill record.
If One Term Fails
If a court finds one part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in effect. The affected wording will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable, where the law allows.
